2hr Pottery Class (17+ yrs)

Come and explore the endless possibilities of clay. Whether you are a beginner, more advanced or just looking to have fun - The AARD Cape Town Studio welcomes you! Adults (17+) are invited to dive into the world of clay and make items from start (shape) to finish (glaze & fire). Classes are limited to 6 individuals and are relaxed with a community feel. We look forward to having you.

Classes include

• Studio time (2-hours)
• Instructor
• Use of tools
• Use of studio equipment
• Use of apron
• Glaze (paint) options
• Kiln firing
• x1 Clay bag (5kg) for first time visitors

How it works

• You choose your chosen days and slots.
• We recommend a minimum of two classes to complete a piece.
• Please note that completed clay items take 1-2 weeks to dry before entering the kiln for their first fire. You will then require a second session to paint (glaze) your items after which they will be re-fired for the second time.
• New visitors receive their clay bag upon arrival. A variety of clay options are available. Additional clay bags purchasable at an additional cost (approx. R90)
• No-shows or missed classes are non-refundable.
• Bookings essential.

Location

• Our studio is located in Welgedacht, (Northern Suburbs) Cape Town.
• Confirmation and estate access will be shared in the week before your first class commences.
